Courtney Standing is a Victoria, BC based tattoo artist and painter with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alberta. She is an artist who lives for contrast, light, and story - both on canvas and on skin.

Art collection
My paintings are built like living collages: a hyper-realistic, almost serene portrait or figure sits quietly at the center, painted with meticulous detail and soft, luminous skin tones. Around it explodes a storm of texture and movement — thick impasto strokes that look like air-dry porcelain clay, draped fabrics, swirling color fields, and dramatic light that cuts through chaos like sunlight through stained glass. I’m obsessed with the push-and-pull between razor-sharp precision and raw, tactile energy.
That same duality is exactly what I bring to my realism and portrait tattoos.
